Excellent HD but SD had interlace issues.

I decided to buy the Sony Bravia KDL 3000 after good press reviews, but after two months there was a noticeable interlace problem with the set. While HD looked impressive, it was the standard definition aspect of this set that had me concerned. I understand that another Sony product on the market has the same problem. According to a Sony spokesperson this appears to be a hardware issue. However I did not experience any interlace problems in the first seven weeks of owning this TV. So please do view the Bravia KDL 40X 3000 before you decide to buy, as the interlace problem might just be an isolated incident.
