Cool camera producing good quality pictures. Great lens and screen

The Sanyo Xacti E6 is designed with ease of use in mind. I like the easy menu system and tons of options to make framing and playback a breeze. The non-protruding lens in traditional Konica Minolta style has great quality and produces fine images in most lighting conditions. Macro mode is impressive and the camera delivers Ok results in lowlight situations. The flash is rather average and there is some red eye despite of the anti redeye flash mode. But what a screen ! 3 inch beauty is great for framing and playback. Movie mode is quite effective and there is an optional touch sensor system on the focus shutter if you require a really quick photo. The E6 is fast without this anyway.
I like the look of the Sanyo E6 - not a lot of buttons - just minimalist good looks. Sleek and solid - the size of a bar of soap. I have tried some more popular brands - and this E6 does compete well when comparing results. Negatives? Movie mode is good but no image stabilization and it seems to use up memory on the SD card quite quickly. In brief, well designed solid cam which can deliver some very nice sharp pics - easily and fast !
