The first one of these lenses I bought was downright awful. I'm no expert on image quality, but the results I got with this lens were terrible. Very soft near the edges, and quite yellowish in colour. After sending the lens back to Sigma, I got another one, which to be fair was superb, and I couldn't be happier with it. It seems the first one I got was a dodgy one which slipped through Sigmas almost non-existant quality control.
